Yassi has spent forty years honing in on her distinctive approach to different art forms. Early in her career, she derived inspiration from her environment to create signature bespoke fashion pieces, her artistic career has taken her across three different continents, and has been heavily influenced by the culture, history, and politics she has been exposed to.

In the past ten years, she has devoted her artistic endeavors exclusively to sculpting, exploring, and interpreting human relationships. her improvisational technique evokes the beauty, vulnerability, fragility, and intimacy of the human form.

Yassi currently resides in Madeira where she maintains her atelier and draws her inspiration from the rugged landscape and communal spirit of the island.
